About the Artist
RC Green was born in Centreville, VA, USA. As a child, she experimented with dance, choir, short stories, theatre, and every format of visual art imaginable. Spending summers at the Torpedo Factory and the Institute for the Arts, painting slowly became the main focus. RC attended the Virginia Commonwealth University for Sculpture, but ultimately graduated with a BS in Sociology and Psychology after experiencing a medical withdrawal that made moving forward with sculpture unattainable. After graduating in 2012, she moved to Washington, DC and has been working as a Veterinary professional ever since. Given the nature of the work, a lot of her most recent work includes pet portrait commissions. In 2019, she edited the English language memoir for her step-grandfather, "FEARLESS: A Jewish Boy in Nazi Germany" by Robert Middelmann. When she's not painting or at work, she is often found hyperfocusing on medical oddities and strange science, attending concerts in the vast spectrum of alternative music found in DC, or advocating for people who share the same inherited connective tissue disease.
